[The feed is still running, though he isn't saying anything.

He assumes Naruto has something specific to say, so.. he's listening.]

[He pauses, waiting for Sasuke to speak up. When nothing comes, he thinks he gets it which is why he takes a deep breath before saying what it is he's been thinking about for what feels like days.]

I never wanted to-- do any of that before that magic stuff happened. I get it, you're mad... I would'a been mad, too. It's just, y'know. All the stuff that happened back home, the stuff with Karui, I never wanted to hurt anyone. 'Specially not you.

[He listens, silent. A lot had happened the past two days and Naruto was right about one thing: He had at least calmed down a little.

Actually no, he hadn't. But that frustration had largely been focused in another direction.]

It wasn't you, I get it. [But he still came after him specifically at first, and it isn't something he can just forget about.] It was that Thiazi.

[He doesn't need to say anything else for it to be obvious where that anger was now focused. Or who it was focused on.]

[Sasuke was never one to let go of a grudge, and it's probably the biggest difference between them. It'll be the making or breaking of a lot of things...

But even so, in this instance, he's pretty pissed off with Thiazi himself.]

She made us all kinda crazy right? Just... some of us a bit... more weird.

['A bit'. He scoffs at that, this went far beyond changing people 'a bit'.

He hadn't noticed any significant changes in himself, but even that said something. Tempers, violent urges and dark thoughts, just a normal day for him, right?]

For all your years of preaching you sure looked pleased to watch me die.

[And perhaps that is why it still bothers him so much. Because regardless of what Thiazi had done he had listened to all those proclamations over the years. How Naruto was going to save him from himself and protect him from others no matter what. And maybe, when he was finally starting to actually consider it, something like this happened.]

[He's not quite aware that Sasuke didn't feel any different than usual. Which might be a conversation he'd feel they'd need to have if he did.

What he does know, is that this is unfair.]

That wasn't-- Whatever she did to me made me like that. Not me. You can't...

[Perhaps Sasuke is right though. How can he go about spouting things like he does when under Thiazi's curse he did those things without so much as batting an eyelid.]

[He's silent again. He thought that perhaps he was ready to talk about it now, but it still makes him mad.

So instead, he deflects. Onto something else that seems much more important right now.]

[Thank goodness. He's not sure what Itachi would do with the news. Which might be a silly thing, because Itachi is, despite everything people seem to think, reasonable.]

[He will probably tell him, eventually. If Naruto is thanking him though, he doubts he will go talking about it before then.]

[Naruto is not about to spill anything to Itachi unless he's asked directly. He doesn't think it will happen any time soon, either.]
